Every year for the holidays, Isabel Neidorf does her own fundraiser so she can give gifts to the children at Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA.

Typically, Isabel delivers the presents herself, but as we know 2020 is not a typical year. Due to pandemic protocols, in lieu of physical gifts, the hospital requested gift cards. Not a problem! Isabel used the money she raised to purchase a variety of gift cards, placed them in Heart of The Brain holiday cards addressed to the children, and sent them off.

“I spent a lot of time in the hospital as a kid, and know how nice it feels when someone (even someone I don’t know) is thinking about me. I’ll never forget the people who’ve been there for me and it’s important to me to give back,” says Isabel. “I hope the gift cards help brighten their holidays and remind the kids they are not alone.”
